The proposed sale of North Colorado Medical Center in Greeley to Banner Health received approval late Wednesday. According to a press release from the Colorado Attorney General’s office, Banner will acquire more than $285 million in assets and land from NCMC, some of which is owned by Weld County. NCMC is expected use most of the proceeds from the sale to pay off hospital debt, but about $58-million will be earmarked to sustain the Bright Futures workforce development program. The transaction is expected to be finalized by Oct. 9.
