Loveland City Council Advances 2027 Budget

The specter of citywide spending reductions returned to Loveland’s budget discussions Tuesday, as City Council members expressed skepticism about whether the city is doing enough to rein in expenses before potentially asking residents for more revenue. The Loveland Reporter Herald reports the discussion came as the council considered the city’s proposed 2027 budget, which calls for about $141.1 million in general fund spending, a 5% increase over 2026 and approximately $5.4 million higher than next year’s anticipated revenues.   Council ultimately approved the spending plan unanimously on first reading.
