A ride-share driver in the Denver area is accused of sexually assaulting several women over the course of years. The Denver DA has charged 41-year-old John Pastor-Mendoza with more than 40 felony counts of kidnapping and sexual assault. Prosecutors said he either sexually assaulted or tried to sexually assault at least 10 women between 2018 and 2022. Police said the assaults occurred in his vehicle, or he kidnapped the women and brought them back to his home. He’s also accused of stealing victims’ cell phones. Police said they found at least 18 cellphones in a cardboard candy box in Pastor-Mendoza’s home, leading them to believe there could be more victims.
