A child injured in a two car crash Monday on U.S. 85, near Pierce has died. Police say the 9-year old boy was a passenger in an SUV that ran a stop sign on Weld County Road 90 at U.S. 85, and struck an oncoming truck. The child succombed to his injuries late Monday night at a local hospital. Both drivers were seriously injured in the collision. Police do not suspect drugs or alcohol were a factor in the crash, which remains under investigation.
