Boise Avenue and Eisenhower Boulevard has always been a high-crash intersection, but since the installation of a red light camera there, it no longer even makes the top 10 high-crash zones in the city, Assistant Chief Mike Trombley said at a Loveland Police Department forum. The Loveland Reporter Herald reports there has been a 62% decrease in crashes at that intersection, reported Sgt. Jeff Mayers at the community event Wednesday. Other data shared at the forum showed a decrease in speeders in areas in which the police department is using a mobile radar van. The Loveland Police Department invited the community to learn more about red light camera violations and mobile radar speeding infractions on Wednesday night.
