Revenue Boost Needed For Greeley’s Culture, Parks, and Recreation Department

After hearing the proposed budget cuts to the Culture, Parks, and Recreation Department, which still fall short of the city’s target, the city council has directed staff to seek ways to increase revenue instead. The Greeley Tribune reports with an $18.1 million budget deficit for 2027, city departments have been tasked by Budget and Policy Director Nathan Mosley to reduce their general fund budgets by as much as 25% in some cases.    On Tuesday, Deputy City Manager Kelli Johnson and Culture, Parks and Recreation Director Diana Frick presented $2.9 million in budget cuts for the department.
