The results of a survey on education in the Weld RE-4 School District are in. The Greeley Tribune reports a recent survey in advance of a nearly $300 million bond initiative for school construction planned for November shows the district has a 63% approval rating. Fifty-four percent of those surveyed said the district is “fiscally responsible” and spends their “money wisely.” Respondents were also asked about whether they’d vote “yes” today to approve a ballot measure. Forty-one percent said they would approve it. The 28% who voted “no” cited a lack of fiscal responsibility, transparency, high taxes, and the political status of schools as their reasoning.
