Weld RE-4 board approves new charter school proposal

A new charter school is coming to the Weld RE-4 School District, but where exactly remains unknown. The board of education unanimously approved American Legacy Academy charter’s request to operate another K-8 school within the district’s boundaries. The Greeley Tribune reports American Legacy Academy had sought to buy land in Windsor’s RainDance community for $2 million for one of its proposed charters, but the board denied the purchase.
