Turk named Greeley’s permanent police chief

Greeley names its next police chief. Adam Turk, who’s been serving as interim chief for the last 10 months, will take over the role permanently. The city had conducted a nationwide search to replace longtime chief Mark Jones, who retired in September, after 35 years of service to the department. But officials say Turk’s experience, his time as interim leader, and his familiarity with Greeley propelled him to the top. Turk calls it an “honor” and “privilege” to have been selected and says he’s humbled to serve the community he loves.
