Rescue teams have recovered the body of a man who died in a rock fall and subsequent avalanche at Rocky Mountain National Park over the weekend. The man’s body was retrieved from Longs Peak amid inclement weather Tuesday and flown to Upper Beaver Meadows, where it transferred to the Boulder County coroner’s office, which will determine the exact cause of death. The man’s death marks the seven by avalanche in Colorado this season but the first in Rocky Mountain National Park since 2013. Two others were hurt in the avalanche.
