Larimer Co. moves up to ‘high’ on COVID-19 risk dial

Larimer County is now at high risk for community spread of COVID-19. The latest CDC data shows case rates on the decline, but hospitalizations rising, causing the jump on the risk dial. Across the state, hospitalizations tied to COVID-19 have risen to levels not seen since March. The Coloradoan reports UCHealth said it’s seeing COVID-related hospitalizations rise steadily over the past few weeks, but this wave isn’t nearly as bad as what the state experienced over over the winter. The high-risk ranking means public health officials recommended Larimer Co. residents and visitors wear a mask in indoor public spaces, get vaccinated or boosted if applicable, and get tested if they’re experiencing COVID symptoms.
