2nd arraignment set for ex-Greeley officer charged with assault

A former Greeley police officer charged with assaulting a suspect during an arrest is due back in court in August. Kenneth Amick is accused of placing 36-year-old Matthew Wilson in a chokehold during his arrest for allegedly threatening to burn down a building. The Greeley Tribune reports two other officers at the scene reported Amick’s actions as “excessive force.” He was charged with second-degree assault.
