Larimer Co. urges state to take action against energy company

Larimer County is accusing an energy company near Fort Collins of multiple air pollution violations. The Coloradoan reports the county filed a complaint against Prospect Energy and is asking the state’s Air Pollution Control Division to investigate a fire in early May that occurred within several hundred feet of homes in the Hearthfire community. The complaint claims, “recurring negligence” and poor maintenance by Prospect Energy caused the fire and as a result multiple penalties should be assessed. Prospect Energy didn’t respond to the Coloradoans’ request for comment. Read more at https://www.coloradoan.com/.
