Larimer County commissioners have approved a 1041 application filed by the city of Thornton, allowing a proposed water pipeline project that will bring water to Thornton to proceed. Thornton filed its first 1041 request in 2019, reports the Loveland Reporter Herald, an application that was rejected by the county commissioners at the time for being incomplete. A second application was found to be complete, and several public hearings were held in April and May, concluding with a meeting Wednesday night where commissioners approved the application after several hours of questions to Thornton staff.
