Air Quality alert issued for NoCo as Canada wildfires bring smoke

An Air Quality Advisory is in effect for a second day Friday in northern Colorado. Moderate to heavy smoke from several large wildfires burning in western Canada is bringing smoky air to the area. The air quality alert for northeastern Colorado, including Greeley, will last until 8 p.m. Friday. Until then, you’re encouraged to limit your time outdoors or simply remain indoors and keep those windows closed, especially if you suffer from heart or respiratory issues or are very young or old.
