Police Involved Shooting Under Investigation In Greeley

A police-involved shooting Sunday afternoon in an east Greeley neighborhood is under investigation.  According to the Greeley Tribune,  police pulled over 23 year old Giovanni Pacheco for a traffic violation in the 2300 block of Alpine Avenue. Police say a struggle ensued and shots were fired.  Police haven’t said who was shot, or how many shots were fired, but says Pacheco was taken to a hospital and treated for minor injuries. Police say he will be booked into the Weld County Jail on felony charges, but didn’t specify the exact nature of the charges. No additional information has been released.
