Weld County — A woman in her 70s was the second COVID-19 death in Weld County. The Weld County Department of Public Health and Environment (WCDPHE) said they are tracking individuals who had close contact with the deceased. As of Sunday evening, the current totals of COVID-19 positive cases in Weld County hit 48, according to a press release from the Health Department, which states they expected an increase as the state lab continues to clear a backlog of test results.
