Man arrested after 12-hour standoff in north Boulder

A man was arrested following a standoff with Boulder Police. Police were called to 17th Street and Yarmouth Avenue at late Monday night, after they learned an armed man had barricaded himself inside a north Boulder home. The standoff prompted a shelter-in-place order for residents, who were likely mostly in bed for the duration of the 12-hour standoff. The suspect was taken into custody around 8:30 a.m. Tuesday and now faces multiple felony charges.
