Resurrection Christian High School fires Head Football Coach

1310 KFKA has confirmed that Resurrection Christian High School has fired Head Football Coach Jeff Van Winkle effective immediately. The Cougars Football Coach had been with the program for 4 years, 3 years as the Head Coach and a year as the Offensive Line Coach. In the 3 years with Van Winkle at the helm, the Cougars had an overall record of 27-4. The Cougars football team made Semi-final appearances in all three seasons and won the Patriot League West Championship every year. Jeff Van Winkle stated that “It was an amazing time. The opportunity to step into the role as a Head Coach and to be greeted with so much enthusiasm from that community; that was a cool experience.” He continued on to say, “I will always look back at my time with Resurrection Christian with no regrets.”
