A proposed 40 unit apartment complex in unincorporated Larimer County has been approved. Loveland’s City Council voted unanimously on Tuesday to approve rezoning for a 6-acre plot of land in the Ranch Acres neighborhood near North Garfield Avenue (U.S. 287) and Ranch Acres Drive. The rezoning was opposed by residents worried the development would cause traffic issues and lower property value, according to the reporterherald. Developers say the senior-oriented apartment complex is consistent with city plans along the U.S. 287 corridor.
