A man was charged with assaulting a law enforcement officer during his arrest. It happened on January 18 on the 300 block of Disc Lane. Police said 22-year-old Jose Palomarez III and his mother got into a fight while he was in what his mother described as a “drunken rage.” Court records, obtained by the Greeley Tribune, show as a Platteville police officer responded to the scene, police said Palomarez broke a door and threw a glass cologne bottle at the officer.
