Guns stolen from Loveland lawmaker’s vehicle on Capitol grounds

Two guns were stolen from a Loveland lawmakers’ vehicle while it was parked on Capitol grounds. Ron Weinberg had parked his work truck overnight in his designated parking spot in Denver while he attended legislative training. The Loveland Republican returned Friday morning to find the vehicle ransacked and two unloaded pistols stolen, along with his house keys, and a photo album, according to The Denver Post. Thousands of dollars in tools were left untouched in the truck’s bed. Police are investigating whether Weinberg locked his vehicle-though he claims he did. The new legislative session begins Monday.
