Colorado State matches its most Mountain West road wins
USAFA – It was a complete team effort as Colorado State picked up its sixth conference road win of the season 77-55 on Tuesday night. The win matches the program’s record for Mountain West road wins with the 2016-17 and 2021-22 teams.
How It Happened
– Colorado State struggled in the first half opening the game shooting 3-of-14 from the field and turning the ball over nine times.
– Jalen Lake helped steady the tide for the Rams with 10 points in the final 8:33 of the half. He was 4-of-5 shooting during that span as the team was 6-of-12 to end the half.
– The second half turned into the Kyan Evans show as he scored 18 of his career-high 20 in the half to help the Rams pull away.
– With CSU up by 11 and eight minutes left, Evans scored 13 of the team’s next 15 points to put the game away.
Game Notes
– Evans 20-point game makes him the fifth Ram to reach 20 points this year. He was 7-of-11 from the field and dished out a pair of assists.
– Nique Clifford finished his homecoming with 11 points, nine rebounds, five assists, two steals and two blocks.
– Lake finished the game with 15 points including making a trio of 3s.
– Jaylen Crocker-Johnson scored in double figures for the seventh time in nine games scoring 13 points.
– Colorado State forced 19 Air Force turnovers leading to 21 points.
What’s Ahead
Colorado State returns home to host its final two home games of the year. First the Rams will welcome Utah State to Moby Arena on Saturday at 2 p.m. MT
