Loveland Museum is one of the city facilities raising prices and adjusting hours in response to a “new normal” in the city’s general fund budget. The Loveland Reporter Herald reports due to a low overall tax rate in Loveland and the loss of revenue from sales tax on food for home consumption, the city slashed operating and capital expenditures by more than $11 million in 2025, with public facing services like the museum, absorbing the brunt. Effective on Thursday, the Loveland Museum will be open for 10 fewer hours per week, including a new full closure on Sunday.
