Mustang Mountain Coaster Expansion Denied

Larimer County commissioners voted 2-1 Monday night to deny a one-time expansion of the Mustang Mountain Coaster. According to the Loveland Reporter Herald,  Larimer County Senior Planner Michael Whitley explained at Monday’s meeting that the applicant, Greg Hecker, had proposed a plan to increase the coaster parking lot from 19 spaces to 69 spaces and to add a 20-foot-by-20-foot observation deck. The expanded lot would include seven spots for electric vehicles and a third ADA-compliant spot. Whitley said, “Without a code amendment, there would be no path forward for this application.”
