Roughly 2,500 runners turned out on a chilly Thursday morning to take part in the 27th annual Thanksgiving Day Turkey Trot. he event was hosted by the Weld Legacy Foundation along with the CardioVascular Institute of North Colorado, reports the Greeley Tribune. The proceeds support financial assistance to patients of the cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation programs who would not otherwise be able to engage in the program. The proceeds will also help buy new exercise equipment such as treadmills and weights for the program.
