Recall Protest Hearing Canceled In Loveland

A hearing scheduled for Thursday to determine whether a petition to recall Loveland City Council member Troy Krenning meets statutory requirements has been canceled. Instead, hearing officer Mark Grueskin will issue a written determination on the matter sometime next week. The Loveland Reporter Herald reports a petition to recall the Ward 1 representative was circulated this summer by the political committee Silent Majority Speaks.  On Aug. 13,  the Loveland City Clerk’s office deemed the petition sufficient, after validating 1,615 of the 2,000 signatures submitted by the group on Aug. 7.  Krenning filed a formal protest to the petition on Aug. 22, the final day of a 15-day protest period.
