Pair implicated in Fort Collins kidnapping sentenced to prison

Two people charged in a kidnapping in Fort Collins are heading to prison. Amanda Causey and Robert Williamson were arrested in May of last year for kidnapping a man they knew from a convenience store in south Fort Collins. Police say they drove the man to a storage facility on East Mulberry Street, where they assaulted and stabbed him. They then drove the victim to a neighborhood and left him there; the victim knocked on a door in northeast Fort Collins to plead for help. The Coloradoan reports Causey pleaded guilty to extortion, and Williamson admitted to second-degree kidnapping. Both were sentenced to 15 years behind bars.
