Moose tramples woman on Boulder Co. trail

A moose trampled a woman and her dog along a hiking trail in the Rocky Mountains, marking the second attack of its kind in as many weeks. Colorado Parks and Wildlife (CPW) said the woman was walking her dog on the South Saint Brain Trail in Boulder County Wednesday when she spooked the cow moose, and it charged at her. CPW said the moose headbutted her and stomped on her several times. The woman was hospitalized. Her dog suffered minor injuries in the attack. This marks the fourth moose attack in the state. A moose trampled a hiker in Teller County just 10 days ago.
