Moose tramples hiker in Teller County

A moose trampled a hiker along a trail in Teller County Tuesday. Colorado Parks and Wildlife (CPW) said two hikers and three dogs on leashes confronted and watched the cow moose along Crags Trail. The hikers said they then tried to go around the moose and its calf, but the moose approached and trampled one of the hikers. The hiker walked away from the scene and was hospitalized with minor injuries. This marks the third attack of its kind in the state this year, according to CPW. The last two moose attacks happened in Boulder County.
