Larimer County commissioners agreed Tuesday to propose to voters a sales tax increase that would fund maintenance and improvements to the county’s transportation infrastructure. According to the Loveland Reporter Herald, the tax would amount about 15 cents on a $100 purchase and is estimated to raise about $15 million dollars a year to be used for roads, bridges, intersections and other transportation projects. The proposed tax, which will appear before voters on the November 2024 ballot, would expire after 15 years if approved.
