Colorado is having trouble finding wolves for reintroduction

Colorado’s plans to reintroduce wolves by the end of the year to comply with a ballot measure could be stalled. The state is having trouble finding wolves. Colorado has asked Wyoming, Idaho, Montana, Washington, Oregon, and the Nez Perce tribe in Idaho. Montana, Idaho, and Wyoming have flat-out denied Colorado’s request. Washington and Oregon said they’re considering it, but Washington has said this year is out of the question. The state called Colorado’s deadline “arbitrary” and noted wolves are difficult to capture.
