Greeley Woman Sentenced To Life In Prison Without Parole For Fatal 2022 Shooting

A Greeley woman was sentenced to the rest of her natural life in prison Wednesday after a jury convicted her
of murdering a woman in November of 2022.  On Tuesday, a jury convicted 28-year-old Mary Alicia Garcia of murder in the first degree for killing 21-year-old Herminia Marquez in 2022.  On November 28, 2022, Greeley officers responded to a shooting in the 1100 block of 24th Street Lane. When officers arrived on scene, they located Marquez, who appeared to be shot. She was later pronounced dead.   Greeley officers arrested Garcia for the murder in January of 2023 .
