Emergency Tuesday At Water Treatment Plant

A water treatment plant issue in the Fort  Collins-Loveland and ELCO water districts has been cleared up .  The Coloradoan reports the water district issued a release reading, in part, “As of July 9, 2024, at 7 p.m. the situation has been resolved and service is restored. You may now resume normal water usage.” The release stated that it is normal to experience cloudy or discolored water after an outage.  “To resolve the issue, remove faucet aerators or filters and run cold water for 10-15 minutes until the water runs clear,” according to the release.
