Sewer Project To Close Park Access In Greeley

Access to Monfort Park from the north parking lot, located off 20th Street, will be temporarily closed beginning June 16, requiring visitors to use an alternate route for approximately one month. According to the Greeley Tribune,  Greeley Water and Sewer is upgrading its sewer system to reduce pressure and divert flows away from an older, undersized 8-inch sewer pipe under 47th Avenue. This upgrade project will have two phases, the first of which will see the installation of a new 12-inch pipe from north of 20th Street to 27th Street.
