A tractor-trailer hauling crude oil rolled early Wednesday on Colorado 392 northeast of Gill, spilling large amounts of oil on the road, closing lanes in both directions for roughly six hours and leaving one person dead. The Loveland Reporter Herald reports troopers responded to the single-vehicle crash at 4:45 a.m., and quickly closed both lanes of Colorado 392 between Weld County Roads 61 and 68. No word as yet who the person was who died in connection with the crash.
