New information has been released in the death investigation of a Longmont woman recovered from the Big Thompson River last month. Police say they found McKenna Fowler’s vehicle Friday evening about 200 feet down an embankment on U.S. Highway 36 near the river, according to a Larimer County Sheriff’s Office press release Monday. The 20 year old was pulled from the Big Thompson River east of Estes Park on May 20. She died the next day at a Loveland hospital. Detectives said there are still more questions than answers as the investigation continues.
