Man wanted in 2011 fatal stabbing at Evans house party has learned his fate

A man charged in a fatal stabbing at an Evans house party nearly a decade ago has learned his fate. Roque Colin-Tapia, 28, was sentenced Tuesday to 18 years in prison for killing 20-year-old Casey Korgan during a fight between the two men eight years ago, according to a news release from the Weld District Attorney’s Office. Colin-Tapia, who pleaded guilty to second-degree murder in connection to the 2011 incident, has since moved to Mexico, and had to be extradited for Tuesday’s hearing.
