Fort Collins residents are reminded that use of all fireworks is illegal — including sparklers and snake fireworks. Fort Collins Police will be on concentrated fireworks patrol during the weeks leading up to July 4, and through the holiday weekend. Using, possessing or storing fireworks could result in a fine of $1,000. Police say if you want to see spectacular fireworks, attend the professional Independence Day display at Fort Collins City Park.
