Man Accused Of Injuring Loveland Police Officer During Arrest

Loveland Police say a man suspected of shoplifting assaulted a police officer on Tuesday, causing injuries requiring medical attention The Loveland Reporter Herald reports it started with a call about  an “erratic and disorderly subject” around 1 p.m. on Tuesday.   Based on probable cause,  the subject was identified as a suspect thought to have shoplifted earlier in the day.  A police officer trying to place the man under arrest sustained  injuries to her face, head and neck. Additional officers arrived at the scene soon after and were able to help detain the suspect and transport him to jail, where he awaits a bond hearing.   He faces assault and meth possession charges.
