Woman Charged After 2 Year Old Granddaughter Tests Positive For Meth

A woman whose 2 year old granddaughter tested positive for meth after the girl was raced to the hospital, is now facing charges.  46 year old Monique Widener was watching the child on March 15th when she fell asleep and left the little girl unattended in a guest room.  She later texted her daughter at work and told her  that the 2 year old was acting strangely.  The mother of the child left work and rushed the girl to the hospital, where the tests came back positive for methamphetamine.  Widener, reports the Greeley Tribune,  faces a felony charge for child abuse.
