Spring Brings Return Of Work On Loveland Intersection Project

A long-term project to widen and improve the intersection at West  Eisenhower Boulevard (U.S. 34) and South Taft Avenue is set to resume next week after a three-month winter break. Starting Monday, Phase 3b of the improvements will get underway with reconstruction of curbs, gutters and sidewalks on the north side of Eisenhower Boulevard.  The Loveland Reporter Herald reports the early phases of the long-awaited project broke ground last summer, with work continuing until December, during which time  crews replaced water and sewer lines beneath Taft Avenue and added another lane, necessitating alternating closures on both the north and south sides of the intersection.
