A man was hit and killed while walking along North Garfield Avenue on Monday night. The Loveland Reporter Herald reports Loveland Police Department officers were dispatched to the 5200 block of North Garfield Avenue regarding a report of a vehicle that had hit a pedestrian. Upon arrival, officers found a 56-year-old Fort Collins man wearing dark clothing lying in the roadway after being hit by a vehicle. The man was pronounced dead. The 83 year old driver remained on the scene.
