Windsor Police Officers Cleared In Man’s Shooting

The DA’s office has cleared two Windsor police officers who exchanged gunfire with a man outside a hotel  on Jan. 7th.  According to the Greeley Tribune, on Friday, the district attorney’s office publicly released a letter and report sent to the interim Windsor police chief concluding that Sgt. Stephen Cantin and Sgt. Siobhan McTighe were “legally justified in firing their weapons in order to defend themselves and others,” in an incident involving 39 year old Damien Jackson.  The letter also explained that neither of the officers would face charges.
