Weld County Served As Pilot Program For New Voting Security Technology

For the first time last election, an extra security measure was put in place in Weld County.    The Greeley Tribune reports the 2023 election was the first time ballots were printed on paper stock with new GHOSTmark technology, according to a county release.    The paper stock for ballots included high resolution images that are only visible under special equipment.   Weld County — and its 222,064 active registered voters — was a pilot program for the unique security features.
