Man Ruled Competent In Attempted Murder Case

The criminal case against a man accused of shooting at first responders from on top of a fire truck at a Windsor hotel last January will continue moving forward now that a judge has ruled him legally competent. The Coloradoan reports 40 year old Damian Jackson was arrested last January after investigators say he pulled the fire alarm at the AmericInn at Wyndham at the southeast corner of Interstate 25 and Colorado Highway 392to draw a law enforcement response and then shot at first responders and civilians from the top of a fire truck.  Law enforcement officers exchanged gunfire with Jackson, but no one was injured.
