A brief standoff ends peacefully in Berthoud. Police had been called to the home around 6 last night about a man yelling and cursing. Deputies found 46-year-old Bret Hanson, whom they believed was armed. A deputy shot at him, but he wasn’t hurt and ran inside the house. More than an hour later, Hanson surrendered. Neighbors received an alert tellling them to stay inside.
