Krenning Resigns From Loveland City Council, Special Election Will Go Forward

He initially announced his intention to resign in May, but Loveland City Council member Troy Krenning abruptly stepped down Tuesday.  The Loveland Reporter Herald reports a special election to recall  Krenning and select his replacement will move ahead as scheduled on March 4 despite that.  The recall drive against Krenning was launched last summer by former Loveland City Council member Dave Clark and longtime residents who formed the registered committee Silent Majority Speaks.   The group collected more than 2,000 petition signatures from Ward 1 voters during July and August, 1,615 of which were validated by the Loveland City Clerk’s office, triggering the special election.
