Rockies extend scoreless streak to 19 innings, shutout by Padres in fourth straight loss

The Colorado Rockies offense looks as lifeless as you favorite mindless zombies from whatever television program of the undead you prefer. Losing 3-0 to the San Diego Padres on Thursday night, Colorado dropped their fourth straight game and have been putting up offensive statistics that has fans spiking remotes in constant frustration. The Rockies have scored zero runs in their last 19 innings of play, one in their last 24, and three in their last 31. They’ve hit into 14 double plays in the last seven ballgames. This is the third time in the last seven games they have been shut out. Padres starter Clayton Richard dominated the Rockies offense all night, throwing 7.1 scoreless innings, scattering seven singles and walking just one batter while striking out eight.
