Weld County’s District Attorney will not file charges against Greeley Police officers involved in a December fatal shooting of a gang member wanted for vehicle theft. Michael Rourke noted in a letter to Greeley Police chief Jerry Garner that the evidence tied to the December 21st shooting of Jose Aguero indicated that Aguero pulled a gun from the waistband of his pants before officers fired on him. The names of the officers are not being disclosed by the D.A. over concerns related to Aguero’s gang ties.
